Megastar Chiranjeevi was moved by music director Thaman’s recent thoughtful statments about the negativity that is being spread in social media about films. In a recent event, Thaman expressed his grief over how we are killing our own cinema.
Responding to Thaman’s statments, Chiranjeevi took it to the social media platform X and wrote, “Dear Thaman, the words you spoke yesterday were truly touching and heartfelt. It surprised me a bit to see such depth of emotion in you as you are usually so joyful. But it also made me realize how deeply hurt you must have been to respond that way.”
“Whether the topic is movies, cricket, or another social issue, everyone using social media should think about the impact their words might have on others. As someone once said, “Words are free. Words can inspire. And words can destroy. Choose what you wish to do.” If we remain positive, that energy will guide our lives in a similarly positive direction. Thoughtful words my dear. God bless,” he further added.
Thaman said that Chiranjeevi’s words will stay with him forever. Responding to Chiranjeevi’s tweet, he wrote, “Dear Annayya, Your words reminded me of the Bhagavad Gita verse, “Karmanyevadhikaraste Ma Phaleshu Kadachana” (You have the right to perform your duty, but not to the benefits of your actions).”
“No matter how much we try, we all are human, right? Sometimes, sorrow finds its way past the doors of our hearts. Your words, understanding and empathetic, have touched me deeply and will remain with me for a lifetime. Long live Cinema,” he went on to add.
