Rocket Driver – An Ambitious Concept That Falls Short
Rocket Driver centers on Prabha, an auto driver who meets a teenage APJ Abdul Kalam from 1948. The film explores the contrast between Prabha’s frustrated ambitions and Kalam’s simplicity. While the concept is brilliant, the film’s slow pace and lack of emotional depth hold it back. The humor is light-hearted, but the narrative doesn’t fully explore Kalam’s character or the potential for drama. Vishvath and Naga Vishal give decent performances, though the film ultimately feels like a missed opportunity.
