Verdict: “A mystical premise buried under a mountain of missed opportunities.”
Gajaana starts with an intriguing concept — a mythical forest and the search for powerful Naaga stones — but falters in execution. The story, told through a layered narrative between Hema (Vedhika) and writer Kesavan (Hareesh Peradi), is ambitious but incomplete. Poor CGI, irrelevant comedy tracks, and unanswered plot points dilute the impact. While performances from Vedhika, Hareesh Peradi, and Chandini Tamilarasan are commendable, the film is let down by its visuals and lack of clarity. Achu Rajamani’s music is a rare bright spot in an otherwise underwhelming experience.
