Vettu Movie Review

A Blood-Soaked Action Drama with Emotional Depth

Verdict: A gripping action drama with strong performances and emotional depth, but excessive violence limits its broader appeal.

Review:
Vettu follows Ragin Raj, a devoted son who embarks on a journey to reunite with his estranged father for his dying mother’s last wish. Disguising himself as an orphan, he integrates into his father’s new family, only to be caught in a deadly conflict that tests his love, loyalty, and strength.

Highlights:

Ragin Raj’s Performance: A striking debut with an impressive transformation from an innocent son to a ruthless fighter.

Action & Emotion: High-intensity fight sequences (choreographed by Stunt Silva & Kevin) combined with deep emotional storytelling.

Supporting Cast: Ankita shines in her limited role, while Rohit, Esther, Viji Chandrasekhar, and Radha add emotional weight. Salem Vengai Ayyanar’s unique villainy is a standout.

Technical Excellence: S. S. Thaman’s music elevates the film, Shyam K. Naidu’s cinematography enhances visuals, and Amma Rajasekhar’s direction keeps the screenplay engaging.

Political Subtext: Subtle references to religious and political climates add an extra layer to the narrative.

Final Rating: ⭐⭐⭐½ (3.5/5)
