Akshay Oberoi took home the ‘Powerhouse Performer Of The Year’ at the Bollywood Film Journalists Awards. The versatile actor’s career trajectory is dotted with series and films that have captured his experimental streak. Flesh, High, Illegal, Dil Bekaraar, Inside Edge Season 3, Pizza, Laal Rang and Gurgaon are a few of his projects that have witnessed his unforgettable mettle as an actor.
On receiving the award Akshay says, “In my entire career, I always felt that no matter what impact I make, I will impress journalists and the media. Everyone who is here and everyone who has supported me, thank you so much. It means the world to me. These claps are for you, so please everyone please clap for yourselves. No award would mean as much as this one.”
On the work front, Akshay will next be seen in projects like Gaslight along with Sara Ali Khan, Vikrant Massey and Chitrangada Singh, Varchasva along with Ravi Kishan and Tridha Choudhary, Judaa Hoke Bhi written by Mahesh Bhatt and directed by Vikram Bhatt and a social satire Ek Kori Prem Katha.
