Bhuvan Arora reveals how Shahid Kapoor and him achieved their crackling chemistry<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The breakout star of Amazon Prime Video\u2019s new series Farzi, actor Bhuvan Arora spoke to Sneha Menon Desai about the 9 long years he had to wait to get his due, where his priorities lie – personally & professionally, sharing screen space with Shahid Kapoor, Vijay Sethupathi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When he first read the script for his part in the show, Bhuvan Arora wasn\u2019t convinced to do the role of Firoz. He recalls how casting director Mukesh Chhabra chased him, leading to the show’s makers, Raj & DK calling him up to meet him. When they met, he was clear that he wanted to be a part of a Raj & DK show, but he didn\u2019t want to be wasted. \u201cIt\u2019s the parallel lead of the show\u201d, they said. To which, his first reaction was to \u201cjump off the roof of the building\u201d but he pretended to play it cool in front of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speaking of his crackling chemistry with Shahid Kapoor in Farzi, Bhuvan Arora says Shahid is now an elder brother figure to him. On the first day on set, this is what Bhuvan said to Shahid: \u201cWill you think of me as Ishaan (actor & Shahid Kapoor\u2019s half brother)?\u201d He requested for this so that they could share the right kind of chemistry through the course of shooting the show.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When asked about the stereotype of playing the \u2018Hero ka Dost\u2019, here\u2019s what Bhuvan said: \u201cHero ka dost play karne mein problem nahi hai \u2026there\u2019s a typical, cliched way of presenting a hero\u2019s friend. I\u2019ve done that a lot in my initial phase, because I had to earn money, run my house, etc.\u201d He continues to say that he\u2019s said no to a lot of such offers because he didn\u2019t enjoy it anymore. Which is why he didn\u2019t want to play Firoz in Farzi in the first place. He adds, \u201cI have no problems with money, I don\u2019t have to be a fakeer all my life. But, that\u2019s not my priority. Money is just a tool to buy time. If I\u2019m giving you my time, don\u2019t waste it.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
